In this project we decided to analyze in depth the beginning of one the most iconic franchises of all time, Star Wars. We worked with the 5 drafts of A New Hope, the first movie, and looked into the contrasts and differences between them. We looked into things like characters (Names, action, dialog, etc) and the structure of the drafts itself, the amount of scenes, themes and more. To find and visualize the data we used tools like Regex, XML, Relax NG, Xquery and SVG.
